Altimeter Deluxe shows the elevation by using the built-in GPS. This application uses high quality graphics design. Now you can check your altitude whenever you like. This number varies all the time since GPS satellites are not geostationary. So if the precision is not good at a certain moment try again a bit later. Please consider that the precision of this app is limited by the integrated GPS receiver. With good satellite connection the precision will be about 20 meter. The precision of a professional high-priced GPS receiver cannot be expected. The "Location Services" option in the Settings has to be activated. Works on iPhone 3G and iPhone 3GS. This app gives you just what you need and it is accurate! It was within 35 feet in my front yard. Doesn't work in the house as it says in the description.
