Lack of Support
I purchased a subscription both online and mailed to my house. When the first magazine became available in the app it told me I had to pay for it. I contacted support and after about a week they determined that my zip code was not in the database, so I couldn’t get the online version. I would have to contact the BourbonReview to get it added. They gave a link to do this. 2 weeks later no one has followed up or responded to my request. I even submitted it again and still no response. I am also curious why you need a zip code for an app.
Really sketchy subscription model
Unlike virtually every other magazine subscription app, you will lose access to everything in the app if your subscription expires. You do not get to keep the issues you already paid for and downloaded, you get nothing. No other magazine app on the App Store functions this way and it is really scummy. Beware of this before you buy a subscription as you will have to renew it every single year just to keep access to older issues.
Friends of the Mash...
As someone who has spent far too much on the brown elixir of life over the last several decades...I finally came to the realization that I didn’t feel guilty about buying great Bourbon. It was only when I was manipulated into spending money on disappointing whiskey that I questioned the sanity of my purchases. I say “manipulated” because I found myself relying on distinctive bottles, artsy labels and poetic descriptions published by the distiller to make many of my Bourbon selections. However, once I began reading The Bourbon Review I saw not just my knowledge of this amazing libation grow...but indeed my taste-pallet also expanded in sophistication. The Bourbon Review is not just entertaining and resourceful but it has made me a more thoughtful consumer of this historical drink. The Bourbon Review has generously introduced me to a my newest...Friends of the Mash...and I thank them for it! Thom Buck
Don't wast the money.
You'll spend more time trying to get support to unlock your subscription then reading the mediocre content. I've been locked out of my subscription 3 times now. It's a pain in the butt emailing the tech support staff trying to prove you paid for this crap. You're better off with Whisky Magazine.

Thorough review of industry updates along with good recipes. Pixel is the company that produces app and does good job with customer issues (had to ask a question and Pixel said they'd get back in 12 hours, but answered in about 90 mins).

This is a great publication that my friends and I can't live without it. BEST Bourbon publication out there!
