The Free Press has decided to start putting stories behind a pay wall. I know they gotta make money but most of their content is subpar and can be found free in other locations.
Confused
I’ve been paying $2.99 a month via iTunes but now it appears I need to setup another separate account with the Freep app to pay $.99/month to access some content. Confusing and clumsy.
A charge to read the news?
Why would you charge me a subscription fee to read your biased view of the “news”? There are many outlets to get the news for free. Lol

BEWARE: Scanning clipboard
I just dropped my rating from Four stars to one as I believe this app is stealing data from my phone. One of the new security features of iOS 14 is to let you know when an app accessed your clipboard. Every time I open the Freep app and I have something copied to the clipboard, I get the message that “Detroit Freep pasted from...” meaning that it is accessing anything on the clipboard. There is no good reason for the app to be accessing this information.
App Closes When Pictures Are Clicked On
Since I upgraded to iOS 14 on my iPhone, if I tap on a picture to read what’s connected to it, I get thrown out of the app and into my home screen which is annoying. It happens on both the Free Press and Detroit News apps. I think an upgrade is needed to your app.
