A little mystifying why musical terms would not be included in a dictionary of music.
Expected More
I paid for this app expecting a comprehensive music dictionary. I mean, it’s Oxford after all. The first word I searched for wasn’t included. (Sorry, can’t remember what the word was, but it was a sheet music term, as opposed to history or biography.). Not as good a value as I anticipated, but I do enjoy the “word of the day”.
Good, but could be better, with more clarity
Lots of interesting information, but presented with far too many shortened words and nearly indecipherable abbreviations, which makes articles much more difficult to read than they should be. Just spell words out COMPLETELY. PLEASE!!!

The information is great, but the abbreviations create a klugy read. I find I just don’t read many of them because they’re a chore to wade through.

I was hoping this dictionary would have most of the terms that I was finding in my music that I didn’t know, but a decent number of terms I was finding in standard works (Chopin Preludes and Waltzes, Beethoven Sonatas, Schumann, etc) we’re not in the dictionary. Most of the terms I did find in this dictionary I also found in the students’ method books in the last pages. If you don’t have another resource, this is better than nothing, but if you have something you’re happy with, don’t waste time or money on this.
