Disappointed
I don't pretend to be a weather- or technonerd, but I was hoping for an app I could spend some time learning to use and learn more than I already know. This app provides nothing that the free apps don't. I'd thought the NOAA certification might be a cut above, but half the time I can't even see incoming clouds on the maps when all the predictions are for heavy rain. Disappointing, like a blind date who turns out to be the person you see every day at work and never wanted to see socially.
Poor radar display
The national radar display is OK. But the close in area the radar depiction is pixelated. The reflections of clouds and rain are in large square blocks and not smooth at all. very primitive.
This is a good app.
I like this app above and beyond a lot of the thousands of tv stations apps, except for some of the Oklahoma stations. For storm predictions and tracking, the stations in OKC are outstanding. I wish the other tv stations around the US had just some of the qualities of the OKC stations. And well NOAA is based out of Norman OK where OU is, so this app has many of those qualities. I don’t give this just an average rating because of the app. It’s all of the different radars that in use out there are just not the kind of quality that the OKC tv stations have. Once the nation has the same high quality radar then this app will not be as average, but way better than so many tv stations currently. I will continue to use this app gratefully!
Do not waste your money
You can get better weather information just by sticking your head out a window. Worse weather app I've ever used and I'm a commercial pilot so I've used a lot of programs.
Poor
Very poor quality. Radar is extremely pixelated.
Slow
So far, I'm not liking it. I open it up and it takes forever to get anywhere....just about freazes up and won't move. I close it and it takes another minute and a half to close. I was so hoping it was good. I'll change my review if it starts working better.
Flakey
Most of the time this app just does not work. Here are some of the issues: 1- The map is missing from the radar. you see the radar images but no map. 2- when opening the app, Miami is selected but the radar and info is for Los Angeles. After selecting several different cities, it finally catches up. 3- Becomes non-responsive and locks up the computer. Just freezes. 4- No support from developer. I have free apps that are better than this. Waste of money.
