Amazing when you nail the set up
Learned about this app as part of the iOS 14 announcement and I’m really impressed how it fully utilizes the hardware capabilities of the phone. I was delighted to see smart editing where the video automatically clips to the next feed or start of point, pro style over lays shot classification / estimated speed, and ball placement distributions. Frustrating when you think you’re recording but you’re not. The scenario that needs to be streamlined is notifying the user if you’re recording after the camera is placed at the top of the fence. There needs to be a notification on the phone hardware that indicates recording has started such as an audible notification or flashing the camera led with a start/stop pattern. Also the watch app needs to synchronize the status with a “recording” or “not recording state” on the camera set up screen. I often see he redline camera set up screen but don’t know if he recording is active. Online pricing doesn’t seem to match. 10 per month online, 15 per month within the app.

I can’t begin to stress how powerful this platform is, and how much it can improve your game. I use it to track every single match I play. Specially loving shot placement and the most accurate shot tracking.

This app may be the only good thing to come out of 2020. I’m not sure I’ve ever actually written an app review, but this one deserves it. Incredible use of AI — and it doesn’t feel like a clunky “early” version of cool technology at all. It’s seamless, from making it really easy and obvious how to set it up (even including which equipment I can use), to scary accurate shot tracking and analysis, to a single tap for cloud recording so my device doesn’t fill up with video. I’ve already been able to improve my game because it’s so easy to see now how I play at a holistic level. Could not be more impressed. I hope everybody at the company sees this: Fantastic work you guys. Please keep it up! I will keep telling everyone I know who plays tennis about this app.

That’s the best way to describe SwingVision. It’s so easy to use. Push the button and start filming. SwingVision does the rest. Amazing data, lovely graphics, and so easy. This app represents a new level of capability in video analysis from a cell phone for any sport. This is real innovation. SwingVision is an Excellent tennis coaching tool.

Glitches
My matches take hours, if not a day or two, to load on my iPhone from my watch. Also, my swing speed is 4 mph for the first few times I look at match statistics and then magically changes to correct speeds later.
