myBETAapp™ is designed to assist you with managing your injections. myBETAapp™ shall only be used by patients which are at least 18 years old and have been prescribed the basic therapeutic drug from Bayer for the treatment of multiple sclerosis. It provides you with tools to record injection information either manually entered or automatically by connecting with the corresponding autoinjector. myBETAapp™ includes the following features and functions: 1. Display scheduled injections according to the injection routine, i.e., one injection every other day. 2. Display recommended injection sites on the body, based on the recommended injection site rotation (injection sites are based on the standard rotation scheme). 3. Display a monthly calendar of scheduled and recorded injections. 4. Connect the autoinjector via Bluetooth and transfer injection data recorded with the autoinjector. 5. Send reminders to you. 6. Record indicators of health and wellness and summarize the information in a chart. (This feature is not available in all countries.) 7. Allow you to share your information, including details of your injections, with your nurse or healthcare professional if you opt to do so. (This feature is not available in all countries.) 8. Receive messages from your nurse if you wish to do so. (This feature is not available in all countries.) The reminder is not synchronized with the reminder used in the autoinjector. You may get reminders from both your autoinjector and from myBETAapp™ at different times. Make sure that you only take your medication as prescribed by your physician. Not working
I use this application every other day when I inject. This app is not syncing with my injector. What do I need to do? I recently updated the app.
Old version had an alarm-miss the alarm
I liked the old version, it had an alarm that you could set and it went off as a great reminder. Now there isn’t an alarm all you get is a quick sound and an email :(
Rotation schedule is confusing and not editible
After using Beta’s hair on for 12 years I was introduced to this new and different rotation schedule. It is not intuitive, it is quite confusing, and I’m constantly getting things messed up. I just my calendar schedule and after three months somehow another they have gotten off. So something went wrong. The old rotation schedule my original Beta Nurse taught me was so easy to remember I never had a problem. As of now I’m signing off of the Beta app.
Need to Restore Alert Sounds
I depended on the old version that had the alert sound. The new version needs to upgrade, restoring the alert sound so I don't forget to shoot up. Thanks
Cannot use without Bluetooth
Living in a rural area means I easily miss doses or repeat sites because I literally cannot use this app except when I've got internet access. They don't even make the old paper log books anymore. This is deplorable. High risk for error and adverse events like necrosis from losing method of tracking injection sites. SERIOUSLY DISTRESSED 😡😡😡 WAKE UP, BETASERON!!!! Reliable internet service is NOT accessible for everyone!!!!!!! It is a LUXURY! FIX THIS APP so it's useable again before the medication itself becomes unusable!
Can’t use with iOS 11.1 update
I was using this app but now I cannot because I updated my iPhone with the latest update iOS 11.1 and now it doesn’t work. I can’t even sign into the app.
Frustrating
I don't want to use the Bluetooth. It eats the battery and every time I open the app it tells me to enable it. I don't want to use it!! And the notifications don't pop on my phone anymore - can't figure that out either!! I understand now about he notifications. Got it. And I actually do GET the concept of Bluetooth. I know that you can "simply" turn it off when you are done. But really?? How many more steps do I need to do to use an app that was JUST FINE before?? And if I happen to forget to turn off the Bluetooth (welcome to the world of MS) then it will continue searching for ANYTHING to connect to Bluetooth - which is what in fact drains the battery. A WHOLE NEW WORLD OF MESSED UP!! Now the APP doesn’t work at all with the iOS update - thanks for the warning!!! An email or text or some advance notice that it wasn’t going to work would have been nice!! NOPE!! Just a BIG ‘OL NOPE!! When I tried to record my injection!! Tech support was also basically useless saying they still have to “test” it! Yeah - I get it, but didn’t you know when Apple was releasing their software update?? Would have thought you could have made that happen!! Or at least let us know!! Again, having to remember a bunch of things isn’t all that easy for people with this issue!! KNOW YOUR CUSTOMERS!!! If I treated my customers this way I would be out if a job!!
