Support Foxit
As a long time windows/mac dual user, I have to support Foxit Mac version. The reason is, when I look at all the other pdf apps with charges of 70 dollars. That is really a non-sense to me. This app can serve everything that I need and I wish the best to the developers of this app. Keep it up!
Windows version easier for me to work with
I have a form I fill out biweekly with individual dates and hours worked. On the Windows version, with every digit entered it automatically advances the cursor to the next field- making it very easy to quickly enter all the information I need. On my Mac with Foxit, I need to click on each individual field one at a time to enter each individual digit- very painstaking. I've given up and now just fill out the form by hand and scan it in to email. I wish it could be made the same as the Windows version, I would definitely use it then. Apple's own Premiere isn't much better. I have to press Tab to advance the cursor each time after typing a digit, and then the text entered isn't centered within the field. With Foxit, I can't even use Tab to advance the cursor. Edit 10-22-20, With the most recent update, the previous issue I had with FoxIt has been fixed. It makes the form I need to fill out much easier. The cursor advances to the next field with each character entered, and it's quite snappy too. I'm impressed. Thank you for fixing this!
Can Mac Customize Keyboard Shortcut? & No Shortcut for HIGHLIGHT!
Painful b/c I switch b/t underline and highlight a lot, and there’s no shortcut for highlight in default. I searched online and found out that Windows users can customize their keyboard shortcut, but I didn’t find the same function in my Mac version. Also I noticed that in their newest version (at least from what I saw on their website), it seems like highlight has a corresponding shortcut now. So I checked in app store but their is no update available and I still don’t have a shortcut for higlight. Disappointed. Hope new version can allow Mac users to customize their keyboard shortcut as well. Or maybe someone can tell me how to do that here?
Cannot Customize Print Settings
Just want to be able to choose grayscale. Have to use another pdf reader to print.
Good PDF reader
Get the newer version from their website. They don't seem to be updating the app store at all.
Old version on App Store. Get it from Foxit website instead!
I really like Foxit Reader, but the version on the macOS App Store is pretty old, at version 2.4.1. In comparison, at the time of writing (October 2019) version 3.3.0 can be installed from the Foxit webwite.
