KEEPS CRASHING...crashed 4 times in a half hour while trying to take notes, and had to force quit.
Upselling After Purchase- Irritating
It is entirely irritating that Margin Note 2 Pro, a paid service, has many issues one of which is the highlighting feature, which worked fine a few days prior, but now no longer does. The main feature I usee--The solution, upgrade and pay for Margin Note 3, of course. I looked at Margin Note 3, not impressed. Even if I could forget the above, I do not like Margin Note 3. I purchased Margin Note 2 Pro, was an early adopter, and find this practice that I have outlined above, quite nauseating. Why do tech companies not get the fact that loyalty will be fickle at best, if they continually partake in these upselling practices? Each time I reluctantly pay for a feature in this manner, I am always aggressively on the look out for a anything that I can achieve the same use thereof, versus stay with your company. Previously I had recommended MarginNote 2. I apologize, I no longer will. I coach students of all ages in how to optimize their learning and cognition. However, I will not suggest a product that uses these tactics. A family needs a solution, not a marketing trick, hence the rating. Please, fix your legacy products. I personally like Weava's ability to export all my highlights in a csv. Hope you can get your product line and pricing under control. If you have interest in speaking further, simply reply to this review. (Yes, I am aware you give a "discount." That makes this all the more infuriating. I simply cannot recommend you for these ethical reasons alone. I have also not dug into your privacy policy at length, given I only use this on my public research. That issue may represent a future review.)
Suggestion
I hope developer add inllustration when mouse arrow moves onto the icon. Otherwise it is a bit hard to figure out what it means.
Found the perfect PDF reader!!
If you're studying/researching any subject and would like an app that makes flashcards from your highlights or notes, this app is just for you. Or, if you want to organize your notes/highlights as you make them, again this app is for you. It's possible that it may take some time to get used to understanding how the app works, but it is worth it!!! They provide tips on how to use MargineNote if you need to reference them. Trust me they do help. I am only using MargineNote when reading any PDF from now on. If MargineNote would like a suggestion on how to make their product better over the competition, I would recommend adjusting their app to read a word, powerpoint or documents other than PDF like Goodreader does. I have found workarounds on how to convert documents into PDF and then opened them in MargineNote, so it was not much of an issue. That was the only thing I could think of as an improvement, and I was reaching. Well, good luck on your search if you decide not to go with MargineNote, but my recommendation is you stop searching and start with this app!!

Love this program! In addition ot being my go-to program, it is also required of all of our PhD students. Need a Windows version.
