A good tool once you learn to use it
Rapidweaver is like most software in that you really need to spend time to understand what it can do. While it is annoying that you have to pay for extra features from outside developers, you do have the freedom to combine their features with your own custom HTML and CSS making it possible to do whatever you’d like. It’s a powerful tool, if you take the time. Enjoy!
Not worth the money
The issue „Unable to Publish“ occurred like in 2016 and it still occurres 2018. I’m using 7.5.5 on macOS 10.13.5 and for months in not able to publish my website! Don’t spend your money on it!
not straight forward
I feel like real mac software punched me and stole $85! I should have known to avoid this developer after using a terrible file uploading program of theirs that they have since discontinued. This was advertised as an easy way to quickly create a website and is anything but. Nothing is readily customizable, you either use the silly stock photo banner images that can’t be changed or themes that look like a website from 2002. I found a way to change the banner images by googling and reading forums, and even then the solution is not elegant or simple. The program is not intuitive at all and the tutorial videos (which shouldn’t be necessary) wouldn’t even load on their website. I really wanted this to be good, especially since I payed $85 dollars for it, but it misses the mark on every level. Dreamweaver is easier and more straight forward and the money spent on this would have been way better off towards a creative cloud subscription.
Basic things that used to be there are missing
I used an older version of Rapid Weaver, and you could resize an image that was added to a styled page. This version, you can’t resize an image with the software that you just spent $85 on. I’ll repeat YOU CANNOT RESIZE AN IMAGE. You can’t even edit the HTML to do it directly in the IMG tag. You need to buy additional “stacks” to do resizing. This is the biggest ripoff in the AppStore.
