Pocket Jam is for musicians wanting to practice and play along with their favourite songs. Loop specific sections of songs, or change the pitch or tempo in real time. If you don't have a capo to hand — or worse, the song is in a lower tuning than you, Pocket Jam has you covered. You can change the pitch up and down — in real time — to any amount of semitones up to an octave. Looping lets you pick specific parts of the song you want to practise. Once enabled, drag the left and right handles on the play bar to set the start and end of the loop, and it'll loop between them. And when looping isn't enough, you can use the speed trainer. With a loop set up up, you can have it start each loop playing slowly, and gradually get faster after each loop. You can customise how slow it starts, and how many loops it takes to reach the full tempo. Mark specific times in a song with section markers. It'll let you jump to parts or set up loops quicker. You can add songs from your Apple Music library — streaming or downloads — or from your Files on device, and play them back in real time, or export them. Pitch adjustments and file exporting are not available when streaming from Apple Music.
Great product
This works great... wish it stepped down in 1/4 note increments instead of 1/2... also noticed when I close the app and come back next time my playlist is still there but it won’t let me play it so I have to clear list and re add them. Other than that it really works great for changing keys for different tunings on songs…
great! but thoughts
it’s an amazing app! my only thing is i would like to be able to download the changed track to upload into something like garage band to do digital covers. if there is a way, let me know, otherwise awesome!
Help! I love/need this app!
I use this app every single day. It has changed my life! I use it for my own practice and to help my students! I commented before but I made a typo so I’ll explain again. The main complaint I have is that my imported songs get deleted. I wish the app would save it. I figure it has to do with the file being moved to iCloud after being downloaded. Every time I want to use the app- I need to re-download the songs, adjust the key/tempo, then delete the one that “could not be played”. I’m not sure if I’m explaining myself correctly. My boss is having the same problem. Please help.
Trouble For Me
I love the idea of this app, but I’m unable to use songs I have the the Apple music app. Do I have to go to iTunes to physically buy them?
Great app but a few reccomendations
I use this app all the time and I love it, but after a few updates ago the next song won’t automatically start without pressing play, so I have to walk over to my phone if it’s auxed or bluetoothed and switch to the next song. Also I don’t understand why tempo only goes up by 2% it’d be awesome if we could adjust it by 1%.
Help
Love this app but as soon as I get halfway through my play list it won’t adjust the speed of songs anymore. Does it have a certain capacity for a certain number of songs?
