Paprika Recipe Manager 3 - パソコン用

I have this app on my Ipad and Phone. I then decided to pay again to put it on my Mac desktop. It worked perfectly for a while but then when Mac iOS was upgraded it stopped working and won't even open. I contacted Paprika and they blamed it on Apple, even though every other single app (and I have many) on my Mac (which is a year old) works perfectly. Apple says it is a Paprika issue (much more likely). Very disappointed in the app and customer service!!!

This is by far the best recipe manager out there and definitely worth the price. I have been using this app for years and now have close to 2,000 recipes in it. I just added it to a brand new iPad Pro which means I now have all my recipes synced to two iMacs, a Mac Laptop Pro, an iPhone and now, two iPads. I love the fact that Paprika can usually download recipes from so many different websites with just the push of a button. Lately I have been transferring useful recipes from some of my old cookbooks. So the only new feature I would put on my wishlist would be the addition of a built-in optical character recognizer so that you could just take pictures with your iPhone of your favorite recipes and have them magically converted to Paprika in much the same way as the manual recipe saver feature works for recipes on websites that can't be added directly from Paprika's browser.

I’m a software developer. My wife has a lot of printed recipes collected over the years, so I thought I would create a simple app to manage them. Fortunately I did a little research first to see how other developers have solved this problem. On of the best apps I found was Paprika. Given the low price for the iPad version, it was worth buying it just to see how it was organized. What I discovered is that Paprika is way better than anything I could have created for myself. And I was so impressed with how well it worked for us on the iPad that reluctantly I bought the macOS version as well, despite the relatively high price. I’m very glad I did. The cloud storage seamlessly keeps all the recipes on the iPad and Mac in sync. I find the Mac is more convenient for entering and modifying recipes, and the iPad — with an inexpensive undercounter holder — is perfect for using the recipes in the kitchen. We use an old (2nd generation) iPad, dedicated for the kitchen, and Paprika runs fine on it. When we originally got this app, it was intednded primary for capturing old recipes. I expected we would have to manually type everything in. For a lot of the cookbook recipes this has been true. But for the magazine recipes that have been cut out and saved over the years, it turns out that it has been very easy to find the exact version of many of these already on-line. Paprika’s ability to automatically import recipes from existing web pages works amazingly well and rarely fails to get it right on the first try. Contemporary magazine recipes have also been easy to find and automatically download. This has been a huge timesaver. It seems like everytime I think of some feature that would be cool for managing recipes, Paprika already supports that feature. For example, it is common for a recipe to have a companion recipe for a sauce. The first time I entered a recipe like this, I thought it would be clearer to enter the sauce as its own recipe. When I did this I thought it sure would be useful if I could somehow link the recipes together within Paprika and, sure enough, it supports exactly that feature and it's easy to do. We’ve been using both the iPadOS and macOS versions of Paprika for about a year now, and both have been well worth the money and time invested into them. My wife is not a fan of electronic gadgets in general, but even she loves Paprika and finds it easy to use for managing and using her recipes.

Honestly one of the best Mac apps out here. Been using it for a while and simply could not be happier. Like any 'database' software, it can be filled with too much, too little or incorrect information. That's on us users though. The feature sets, the flexibility and the compatibility built in makes it incredibly versitile and able to be csutomized to your stye of recipe management. The BEST feature is the website recipe downloading. While not always perfect, it is simply the best time-saving feature that something in thi scategory can have. RECOMMENDED!

I've used Paprika (and now Paprika 3) for some time now. Over all very solid, but a weird issue I've discovered is when you create a grocery list is that it won't consolidate similar names, only identical. That in and of itself is not the problem, it is when you click on edit so you can make the two items the same and then it save, it doesn't actually save it anywhere except on that list. It does not impact the recipe. This means if you want to prevent this again, you have to manually change each recipe. This wouldn't be so frustrating except transitioning from the list to the recipes for editing is not intuitive; furthermore you can't print out a grocery list with the recipes names on it.

I've been using this for two years, and in most respects, it's great. I can add recipes on my laptop and it will quickly sync to my iPad, which is what I use in the kitchen. It is much better than MacGourmet at extracting the recipe information from web pages packed with useless text and video. HOWEVER, the search function is terrible. You can only search for a recipe using the EXACT words in the title in the EXACT order they appear in that title. I now have over 300 recipes in Paprika, and often can find the ones I know are in there. For example: If the recipe is titled My Favorite Blueberry Pancakes, and you try to search for it with anything other than "my favorite blueberry pancakes"--if you try to search for, just say "pancakes," the recipe you're looking for won't come up in the results. This is ridiculous and needs to be corrected

Dear Paprika, I'm hooked. I've been using your app for almost 5 years even after reluctantly paying to download it. and I then spent $30 on the laptop app because I'm all in! BUT just today after a software update on my phone I can't open the app at all. The message reads "The developer of this app needs to update it to work with this version of iOS." PLEASE UPDATE!!!
