Excellent-- would be even better with batch processing
There are lots of junky filter and frame apps that aren't worth the trouble-- an impulse buy that you use twice and then discard. Waterlogue is a genuinely excellent water process, a very convenient alternative to tweaking and manual editing in Photoshop or Painter; doesn't have the power of those tools obviously, but its very fast and convenient. What's missing: 1) batch processing, the ability to process a group of files with one setting. This would be terrific. 2) a layers system, allowing for some control over processes. . . . but these want list items notwithstanding, this is a very nicely done product which I use frequently

I love the iOS app, and this one is just as good.
A revelation
Waterlogue is a revelation if you are a visual artist. The depth and authenticity of its results go beyond any styling app I've seen before, making Waterlogue a priceless and indispensible tool. If you are unsure, I recommend trying the iOS version, which has been an excellent tool for years. But the Mac version goes well beyond what the iOS version can do, and the new ability to define custom styles is a dream come true. I do have one feature on my Wish List for the developers! Now that custom styles and tweaking of settings is possible, I greatly wish for a Shuffle or Random button, to quickly remix the settings (pen width, water flow, etc) and discover new possibilities on the fly. Being able to do this would add great depth to what is possible with Styles, and how quickly / easily new styles could be developed.
I've been waiting for this...
I've been using Waterlogue on my iPhone for ages and have always wanted it on my computer. Evidently, it's been here but I just saw it. I've been playing with it for perhaps half an hour and it's the same friendly app I know and love... but now it's bigger and better. I really, really, love the results I get with this... I wish I were this good! No water is wasted in my watercolors. This is one of those apps which I would rather keep to myself because it's that good... but, with practice you'll make some great art, too.

The watercolor effect looks incredible! I like to crank up the water softness for a wetter look.
Works better then the IOS version.
