How do I save?
Played this game all the way to the forest. Left computer over night, next day it had crashed, had to restart, but all it showed was a save file from when I first started. Game is a solid 4.5, but because I can't save, I'll give it a 1. Please fix. I'm playing on a MacBook Pro 13.3 Mid 2019.
Not Bad - Needs more content
So, this isn't bad, I just wish the game had more content. It looks like they could open this world up to a lot more or add more places to explore. It is a fun strategy game but some of the cash flow mechanics aren't easy to deal with. I agree in terms of diversity with the characters but overall I am sure this was somewhat a hurried project. I do like it though and hope they continue either adding on to this or creating a new one.
Game def needs racial diversity!
So on a positive note, I enjoyed the game thoroughly! I don't think I have played a game like this before. Or I have played games like this but usually in order to continue or stay at reasonable pace, I hit a wall of "necessary" microtransactions. This game was fun, kind of cheesy but I personally though the humor was charming. Like, the characters are what I would expect out of an RPG style game, didn't mind the jokes or anything like that. I enjoyed the characters for the most part and although the plot was simple and straight-forward, I liked that part a lot, it made everything organized. The soundtrack was nice, I played the game on low volume and it wasn't annoying. The voice actors were good. The gameplay was super easy to learn and it provided a lot of space to do what I wanted, focus on characters I wanted to focus on, and complete the game entirely. On a negative note, the reason I took a star off the review (I am a sucker for games I am able to finish because I am picky). I find that the fact that the regular recruits being all male was like... why? Especially, with the fantastic female team members you run into during the plot. Also, the characters... all of them (or like a crazy amount of them)... there were no POC. That was disappointing for me, I enjoyed the game so much but this is such an easy thing to incorporate. I guess it wasn't a big deal in the beginning but I played through the whole thing in under a day and I realized it at the end. I liked the game enough though, I'd play more of this.
Why no female random characters?
I really loved this game. But the fact that only the game-supplied epic characters were female and there was no diversity in skin color is really dissatisfying and discouraging. This is the 21st century devs. Why make all the random characters from city, mountain, etc., male? Why no random POC characters? I imagine it must be easier to cookie-cutter your character design and have only one, but it's a serious oversight and flaw in an otherwise great game.
