Can't select books based on age
This app has a list of books but no way to know which books are best for which age. There's no index for the library to allow you to select by genre, fiction/non-fiction, age, grade, sex, reading level or other parameters that would be helpful in selecting a book. Therefore I found the app of little value in assisting young readers in selecting a book to read. If a child can't select a book, they won't read it. Too bad because the other capabilities look promising. The library is also limited and I didn't see a working method to download additional books. Improve these features and you would have a very good app.
Great app needs to read to you too
This is a great app. Only 4 stars because you need to add the option to have the books read to you as you follow along with the highlighted words. This could really help children who struggle with reading speed.
No guided reading feature
I bought both Quick Reader apps for the guided reading feature for my kids. I was disappointed to learn that neither app has the guided reading feature. You can adjust guided reading settings but still no guided reading. There isn't even an icon on the home page for it. Am I missing something or did I get suckered into buying the apps? It's a shame because I really think this could be a great app for helping struggling readers work their way up to speed reading.

I like this app. I love the options to customize your reading experience. However, I think it would be better if you could also test your comprehension and maybe even limit the testing to certain intervals, i.e. not more than once per week, to check your progress. Speed is nothing without comprehension. Overall, the app does what it advertises. I would like the instructions to upload books to be easier, or maybe include links to popular e-libraries. I'm not quite sure how you would do that, but I use my local library's digital site all the time. In the end, I would definitely recommend this app.
Great app!
A large number of books for you. Well worth your time to check this out. I am very happy to have this on my iPod for my greatgrandkids!

this app is great. my kids enjoy it and they have begun reading more of the classics.
Nice product
Nice basic product that does what it says. My 9 year old loves it and has quickly doubled his speed. The only thing I would like to see are a wider variety or current books. It has lots (really, a lot) of selections but many of the choices are of older English vocab, like Jules Vern era. Great stories but the English tends to trip up my son who is currently struggling with basic vocab. Theoretically I should be able to import some books. Haven't tried that yet. All in all, a very good product.
