I DOWNLOADED THIS APP ON MY MACBOOK TO DO SOME NARRATING FOR A POWERPOIT AND EVERYTIIME I TRIED TO SAVE A FILE IT WOULD FREEZE AND I WOULD HAVE TO RESTART MY COMPUTER. 100% NOT WORTH THE MONEY AT ALL. I CAN FIND A FREE PRODUCT THAT WORKS BETTER AND DOES THE JOB BETTER THAN THIS. THE VOICES ARE TERRIBLE, EVERYBODY SOUNDS LIKE ROBOTS.
Uses com.apple.speechrecoginition
The olly reason I bought this was to circumvent RAM hog Speech Recognition. But that’s what it uses as its engine. Total waste of money of time. For me it’s no different than Text to Speech. As for recording, you can use open source Sound Flower.
No Pause
Ok, another app that has a big flow in just providing basic interface option to Pause reading. It has stop and then you have to start listening from begining. So lets say 5-10 min document and you need to stop in between. Well good luck, One start, please improve your playback controller. Thanks P.S Apple I feel like not tiral option makes me feel that I’m paying you to test bad apps. Where is easy return policy for apps. I’m waintings this for very long time.
DOES NOT WORK WITH CEPSTRAL VOICES
I needed a text to speech program that works with Cepstral voices. This program advertises that it does. It does NOT - it just crashes when i try & use Cepstral David. mz
