Booo Volvo app!
Cute design doesn’t cut it. I don’t care about that pic of my car. I need to be able to: 1. Turn on car (if the car is unlocked when I try to start it, let me lock and start right there) 2. Adjust climate settings (temp, seats and steering wheel) 3. Set off alarm ICE 4. open trunk 5. Unlock certain doors 6. Check fuel (and please allow auto start with less gas! 20miles left is plenty. We are adults) Swiping the car to reveal nothing is a waste of time. Talk to users please!
Won't connect anymore to my car--subsciption is current
It no longer connects to my car to send addresses. This is my most used feature. I've installed the latest maps and uninstalled and reinstalled the app and it still won't connect.
Pretty slow and unresponsive
This app is pretty slow. Takes considerable amount of time to sync with the car. Sometimes it will be faster to walk to car instead of opening this app and turning on the climate. Another major weakness - you cannot change the climate settings from the app. If you turned off the climate control, you canno turn on from this app.
App clunky at best - and taking away features!
I have little to add because all the 2021 reviews here cover the biggest gripes. But why in the world has Volvo removed the ability to schedule climate based on a schedule. This was a feature when I laid out serious cash for my fancy new Volvo, but has since disappeared entirely! Other car manufacturers have this stuff figured out, so what’s the deal Volvo?
Barebones and fails often
The app is attractive, but surfaces very little of Volvo’s functionality. Start and climate commands fail to register with the car very often, so the only useful and reliable feature that this app provides is the ability to chat with Support.
Not very responsive
I have become less satisfied with this app in the last couple months. I have been using it for almost 2 years. While it can do some important tasks and provide useful info, getting the app to actually open has gotten less reliable.
Updated app only permits one phone to pair
As title says. You have to unpair first phone if you want to pair a second phone to the app. Very unhelpful.
