Bring back the recipe index with images
In this iteration of the app, the most useful thing about it - the recipe index with clickable images that was formerly at the start of each issue in the app - no longer exists. That index was incredibly useful. It allowed me a to feel secure in recycling my paper copies of the magazine because I had an easily accessible soft copy of each recipe in the app. I would frequently peruse just the recipe indexes ahead of planning dinner parties. The static (unclickable) index without images that is at the end of each issue is nowhere near as useful. Please, please bring the clickable index with images back.
It is just a literal digital magazine
The only benefit over getting this opposed to the physical magazine is to cut down on waste. There are no benefits to digital over physical if you end up having to print the recipe anyway.
Updated app worthless
I’ve been a Bon Appétit subscriber since 1992. Loved the app until the last update which essentially turned the magazine into a PDF which can be read on an iPad - if you expand it to show about 20% of the page at a time or can read microscopic print. What’s the story on that? Bring back the features.
New issues are delayed
New issues become available way after they are available on newsstands, which makes no sense. I regret doing the online subscription.
Update blows
Where’s the library index? Recipe index? Now it’s challenging to navigate and where are the gestures?
