    Poor controls, no retina display on iPad

    You really need to improve controls. I often move the troops the wrong direction because the controls are so unforgiving. Same goes for combat which is basically unplayable for first time users. No tutorial but that shouldn't be there anyway if controls were intuitive.

    Freezing Issue

    I absolutely dig that the developers didn't change much of the gameplay. The new art looks refreshing and clean. The only reason for the two star review is that I keep encountering a freezing issue. Whenever I leave a battle and see the "Union Wins" splash banner, the game locks down and I have to force close. It's really sad because this would have been a five star review otherwise.

    Needs Polish

    i thought this would be a more polished version of that other North vs. South game that is remarkably similiar (read same as). it's what others have said, no polish and poor controls. that's all i have because i deleted it before i could form any more opinions.

    Good effort to bring the classic title back! but needs an Update!!

    I tried this game on the new iPad, the art looks ok but it can improve in map mode and battle mode, the art in flag mode does look professional and sharp, but mostly this game suffers from bad controls specially in map mode and battle mode, in map mode; moving the soldiers is kind of try and error, i mean sometimes the dragging works and others time it does not, and in battle mode; where speed and accurate controls are must this game falls short to bring that for the user!! I remember this game while back and the 3 star is only for the effort to recreate this classic game, in order to receive better review that this retro game deserves the makers must work a solution for the controls and the sharper resolution for battle mode should help too.
