VoodooPad 5 - パソコン用

Killer app, I've used it for years. Unfortunately, it's the only app I have in regular rotation that doesn't have dark mode. It's like the sun blows out of my screen every time I open it up.

For years I've rated this app 4 or 5 stars, but in the past this app could remember its open tabs, window size and screen position. So every time I launch it I am forced to reposition everything, just so I can get some work done. A few versions have come out, each with that highly annoying bug not fixed. I refuse to give it more than 1 star while this bug exists.

First there was idea keeper a much loved app. May rest in peace. Then there was Circus Ponies notebook, less lamented. Then there was SoHO Notes. Zombie like it lives on. Now amidst the rubble VooDooPad remains standing and I am thankful. It is effective and fun to use with a responsive developer. The feature I regard as most important is durability. To this end, I encourage anyone interested in these sorts of note keeping apps to give it a try.

VoodooPad is one of those apps that gets everything right. It’s very simple to use but it also has the features and flexibility that advanced computer users look for. Nice to see that it’s going to be actively developed and improved. For now, the new icon shouldn’t matter but it does lol. I like it.

This is one of my favorite apps on the mac. I use it to organize all my recipes, travel notes, and more. There was a brief period where a previous developer didn't support it properly and I couldn't find anything else available that did the job as well; thank goodness it's been adopted by developers who will care for and keep maintaining and improving VoodooPad. If you haven't tried this app yet, there's really nothing else like it!

I loved this app for a long time under the previous developer. But, since he sold it, there has been *no* new development on it (It was last updated just after Maverics release and that was updates started under the original developer). And now that the only recent word from the current developers about an ‘bugfix update’ was conveniently posted on April 1st on their forums. If this is the dev’s idea of an April Fool’s joke, I wash my hands of this company. Avoid this app like the plague unless they finally put out an update. As more time goes by the risk of fatal errors is ever increasing, scripting already seems to be non-viable.

VooDooPad is a must have for creative people! If you are trying to collect anything unstructured, you want VooDoo. You can collect and manage creative thought without constraining the idea factory. Not to mention, you can take it anywhere you go. Here are ways I use VooDooPad: 1. Collecting and maturing writing ideas on character profiles, plots, settings, individual scenes, and research all in the same document and let it grow without being constrained by an artificial format. Super handy since it’s syncs across devices, so I don’t have to worry about losing an idea if the idea-lighting strikes while I’m on the go. 2. Sifting through large amounts of geneology information. I abstract it into a links, which are easier to sort, shuffle and reshuffle, letting me spend more time on the material and less on the tool mechanics! 3. Worlds best recipe organizer. Index page has categories, which blend to sub-categories. Actual recipes are only written once, but appear multiple places. For example: Grandma’s Raw Cranberry Salad shows up on the Holiday recipes, gluten free recipes and salads. Then I need to reference it, it’s handy on my computer, my iPhone or my ipad. Friends at work ask for a recipe, Cut, paste, email. 4. Collection of knitting patterns…all handy on my phone. Found a cool pattern in a magazine, just take a picture and insert the jpeg! No matter where I go, I can take my knitting with out lugging along the pattern to get all wrinkled, torn or lost. Even better, I can share via Cut and paste into email. Thanks VooDooPad!
