Works great. Tested a modified Dualshock 4.
Great app. Helped solve an issue with my PS4. I modded a Dualshock 4 to a permanent inverted X axis on the right anaolg stick, an option widely unavailable. After the mod, the controller wouldn’t pair with my PS4. Always a possibility I could have just messes up the controller, I Googled and found many PS4 owners were having the same problem with brand new controllers, even right out of the box. My suspicions were correct. The controller is fine and paired with my Mac via bluetooth instantly. I never even hooked it up via usb, just Bluetooth right off the bat. Downloaded this app, to test my mod, and it works. Now if Sony could just get my PS4 to pair with it. That’s quite a bug. I’ll hang onto this app.
Exactly what I wanted, worked “out of the box"
I bought a Wingman Extreme Digital 3D at a thrift shop today (18-Mar-15) for $3.50 and when i got home, I plugged it in to see if it would work well enough to be the controller on a current project. I bought Joystick Show (v 1.1.1), ran it on my 2009 MacBook Pro under 10.10.2 Yosemite, and it showed exactly what I needed to see. It automatically recognized the joystick model, showed the specific device name, showed one widget per device input (no rows of unused button displays or anything like that), and organized it all into groups of Axes, Hats, and Buttons. I don’t know if there have been bug fixes that might change some of the earlier one star ratings, but it definitely worked for me and is a great value for $0.99, IMHO. As Nintendophile1818 said, it’s a niche app, but it fills the niche well.

It’s a simple app that does exactly as it says on the tin. Worked fine for my X52 and Pro Flight Rudder Pedals. It’s a niche app, but it fills the niche well.
Impressed
I thought there was no way this thing would be able to pick up the Saitek Cessna Yoke, Rudder pedals w/Toe Breaks or TPM module. Turns out it does and it works flawlessly! It helped me troubleshoot a friends rudder yaw control and he exchanged the pedals with confidence it wasn’t just a software issue. $0.99 is a steal.

Fantastic, easy-to-use diagnostic tool for Logitech Dual Action. Shows pressure sensitivity of joysticks and even tells me what buttons 0-11 correspond to. For example, buttons labeled A-B-X-Y on the controller do not correspond with the Mac's interpretation of their function, so it was great to have a guide for that. $1 well spent!!
Timely support is non-existant
This app has so much potential but without solid, timely support it is nothing but an exericise in frustration. I posted questions on the support web site two days ago and still no response. Unacceptable.
Works as advertised, minor display glitch
This shows all the buttons your joystick or gamepad responds to and the axis positions. The screenshot shows the red axis position markers in the numbered boxes, but on OS X 10.9 they show up offset above the boxes. Minor annoyance.
