This works great and you can make very attractive QR codes. Just a few tweaks would make it perfect: 1. Being able to create Multi codes that detect a user device and opens social media apps on phones and browsers on desktops. 2. Being able to reposition the logo on the QR code. 3. The abitlity to create frames for the codes inside the app.

Initially the app worked fine but then failed to open. Origianally purchased through app store. Re-installed and failed to open. Deleted original, downloaded from creator website and had no issues except the license key wasn't issued and paddle had no record of applestore purchase. There should be a way for the creator to issue the license key to applestore purchases throught their system. If not fixed soon, I'll have to charge back the purchase.

Great program and easy to use. Makes life so much easier when having to share your contact information or whatever you have to share.

QR Factory has a lot going for it: // Pros: • As of November 2019, QR Factory is actually being actively developed (yay!). For some reason, that’s a lot more than can be said for most of the other QR code generators on the Mac App Store, some of which haven’t seen updates in years. • The app also has a really professional-looking interface, including support for macOS’s dark mode. Interface design is one of those things that can look easy when it’s done well—but going by the many other QR code generators on the Mac App Store, interface design clearly isn’t easy at all. • The app also supports a couple of vector formats, including PDF and EPS. This is especially nice for times when you might need a QR code for a print design but you might not be sure how big you’ll need to print your final design. // Cons (there aren’t many) • Though QR Factory supports saving QR codes in a couple of vector formats—namely PDF and EPS—it doesn’t yet support saving QR codes as SVG, which would be especially handy for web-based workspaces, where PDF and EPS aren’t natively supported. • After generating a QR code, you’re able to tweak the QR code’s display using the app’s the “Customize” dialog, and that offers various options like a slider for pixel roundness and things like that. One of the options there is "Reliability Level" (which defaults to “Low"). So it’s fairly minor, but it could be kinda nice if the app were to include some text in that dialog about what the trade-offs are with the various “Reliablity” settings? Like, my instinct would suggest that you’d always want “High” reliability... right? But perhaps "High” may have some downsides seeing as though option isn’t selected by default? (Or on the other hand, if by chance there aren’t really any downsides to “Medium” or “High” reliability, then maybe one of those options could be better suited as a default?) • It could be icing on the cake if QR Factory were able to auto-select the data type based on what date you enter. For instance, if I were to type something starting with “http:” into the app, perhaps QR Factory could automatically switch to the URL data type (or maybe offer to switch to the URL data type?). Similarly, if the app were to detect an email address, maybe it could offer to automatically switch to the “Email” data type? • And lastly, while I think that $20 isn’t entirely unjustifiable given the effort that went into the app, I could also see the app’s price potentially being a turnoff for some folks. In the end, I still ended up buying QR Factory, but if I’m being honest, I also looked long and hard at most of the other QR code generators in the Mac App Store—which also tended to be more reasonably priced—before setting on this one. Just to put this out there in case the app’s developer might be reading this: I could see $9.99 being more of a sweet spot for this app. // Summary QR Code is a pretty great app overall. And while there may be a few areas where it could potentially be improved to be even better than it already is, that’s not to take away from the fact that this app will work really nicely for a lot of people.

Very simple to use. No instructions needed. We are using the app to create "clues" for "scavenger hunt" type of games, for family history library activities for young families and interacting with our website.

The hardest and mind-scrubbing process of why one goes through the above is a discussion for another day. Failure to follow instructions proves to be quite frustrating. Such an experience fades into a distant memory once it has been properly created and are able to now save codes. The endless possibilities and different applications one can use this is unprecidented. I even drafted an email which could be scanned and read by the recepient. I am developing a series of products which at their different stage requires different input and communication. Having this application ensures product integrity customization/categorization but keeping it within the same family of content communication. We are working on mobile payments and electronic wallets as well as a workflow to support logistics operations. This is a very comprehensive and robust package that provides endless opportunities

I had an inventory challenge at work. I couldn’t get the IT team to buy into my idea, said it would take to long. I reviewed a few apps, selected this one, created a CVS file with product information, and generated 250 unique QR codes in less than 10 minutes. I guess I need a raise helping IT out…. It was all due to this app, it’s simple to use without reading a manual and just worked.
