I really want to like it, but....
The app consistently crashes on iphone6. Click on link to their website and it doesn’t exist. It’s a mess, but I wish I could see what looks like a good magazine!
What’s Not to Love
It’s free. Great little feature articles, inspirational photos. Make you enthusiastic about getting out there and taking some photos.
What about reading it on El Capitan?
Currently this app is for the iPhone and iPad, it would be nice to be able to read it on my iMac!!!
Good content, UI needs work
The Olympus content is pretty good and interesting. However, the navigation is not like turning pages in a magazine... Many parts of the page can go somewhere else but it's totally un-obvious when that is the case. I'd prefer a completely linear, page-turning, navigation, plus a collapsible index on the left.
Update = still problems
Update from my previous review: Received a notification to delete and re-download the app to resolve problems. This fixed the "unzip failed" error on the April issue, but two interface problems remain: (1) I still don't see any way to remove previously-downloaded issues from my device. (2) When I clicked a link in a story to go to an external page, there was no way to return to the magazine; I had to kill the app. So, still some work left to do! Original review: I like the magazine, but the app update required to read the April 2016 issue seems to be broken... throws an "unzip failed" error on the "index.html" file. I tried to contact the vendor about this, but the support link on the App Store seems to be dead. Also, I can't find any way to remove previously-read issues from your device, although I might be missing it because there's also no onscreen help. Can't recommend until fixed.
Glitchy
App used to work fine. With this update very slow to download, open or go through the pages. Hope another update will fix it
Wonderful content
Great articles, tips, and interviews. I only wish all my old issues would come back. The update wiped out all the issues prior to January 2014.
