Each location displays the campground name, which agency administers it (BLM or USFS), the local weather, elevation, Internet images and searches of the campground, Flickr geotag search, and more. Easily locate the campgrounds nearest you. Send location data directly to our Road Trip Planner app. Import routes from GPX files. I just bought this app. When I search for any area to camp it gives me zero results even though I know there is camping there. Waste of money.
Excellent app!
This is a great app for locating US forest service campsites throughout the country. I use thus as a starting point to investigate US forest service campground options when on road trips.
New discovery
Just discovered the website and plan to use it to find new places to share with my grandson.
Not enough
Admittedly I am new to this app but: Just showing where campgrounds are to me is not enough. The app advertises on free or next to free public land campsites yet the first thing I see are a bunch of KOAs and then campgrounds within Stateparks et.al. that are at least $25 and up. And absolutely no info with it. E.g. Juniper Springs shows as USFS but it’s a State Park campground with limited facilities which does not let you run a generator at night - and this is in Florida with hot and humid nights. Important info I would say. If it was a boondocking area I could run my gen, or at least not expect anything. Anyway, for an app it is very very disappointing. Glad it was not more than a $ or I would have been really bummed. There are really MUCH better apps. If I just wanted a map I would have pulled out my FMCA road atlas. I have absolutely no idea how this app got 4.5 stars

Comprehensive app
I’m retired and look to go camping as often as possible. The Recreation.gov app not only facilitates making reservations, it provides weather and condition alerts. The photo selection is improved and the interactive campground maps help identify sites and inform which sites are considered more desirable.
Great app
Find your favorite campsites. This app couple with the Rec.gov app work sweet together to find campgrounds, cg info, prices and reviews.
