This developer has my full permission to keep developing interesting effects plug-ins for AudioBus and IAA, and selling them for 3 dollars or less. Because I am likely to buy all of them. After some initial hiccups, SquashIt (Their multi-band distortion app) turned out to be one of my favorites. The effects themselves aren't necessarily revolutionary, but they put a unique spin on it with a great touch-based interface and the ability to adjust amount and characteristics of the effect across three different EQ bands (which you can expand and contract). When I first turned this app on, it was almost shocking what it was doing to warp my sound. I almost wanted punch my iPad. But as I started to tame down the extremeness of the presets, I found that the modulated delay has a nice subtlety to it. Calm it down and it gives your tone an almost "wobbly" effect as it modulates pitch. Sounds amazing with headphones. There are some pretty cool multi-effects suites and some other standalones I really like (AUFX and Holderness Media apps are great in their own way), but these guy may be my favorite. They make compact apps that just work, and I know exactly when to reach for them if I want that particular effect.
