Voice Pack adds two of the best US English voices, Sharon and James, to Voice Dream Reader and Voice Dream Writer at 25% discount. We created this app primarily for schools that use Apple's Volume Purchase Program (VPP). Many school want more voices but can't buy them now, because Apple currently does not support In-App Purchases for VPP customers. After downloading this app, run it and you'll be prompted to download the two voices. When download is complete, restart Voice Dream Reader and Writer, and these voices will be available. Make sure you have updated Reader and Writer to the latest release. This app also does something useful. It contains a text box which you can paste any text into. And you can tap on any word, the app will speak that word. It is useful to beginning readers to improve their phonetic skills.
Doesn’t work at all
I tried several times to use this app, following your instruction. However, it has no sound. Are there any differences between write and voice pack?

This is an app that does not fit the iPhone screen, and provides just two low quality voices to download. The other apps in the suite already have 15+ voices of higher quality than these two. Don’t waste your money.
PLS READ- IMPORTANT
Need instructions w this app because as it is now (August 2019) it is confusing. This doesn’t appear to be a standalone app but merely a download of two voices, to be (hopefully) saved in your main audio reader app, voice dream reader. If I delete this app w the “2 voices” (Sharon and cant remember the male voice name), would it delete them off voice dream reader app? Since ADDITIONAL voices in the MAIN reader app, “VOICE DREAM READER” can be purchased for an additional fee (and the app remembers these purchases so when you get a new device, it will restore those previous purchases).... ......THIS app should be deleted. Just make sure these 2 voices are a monks the list of ones to purchase or just have it be downloaded automatically for people who purchase the bundle. If this app is ACTUALLY supposed to do “something”, it either isn’t obvious what that is but more than likely no longer gives any option to do what it potentially was wants Designed to do: There is no button to play text outlooks, even though you can write text in a field. Why I have the field available to write text if there is no buttons to play or do anything in particular with text? If there is a reason then that reason should be explained somewhere, in some sort of instructions. Otherwise please DELETE it from the store. I don’t want THIS app to hurt your reviews! I want you guys to stick around because I really like your voice dream reader app, & the many great kinds of voices to choose from, a lot (a lot better & more variety than apples options). If people put bad reviews due to a vague app that looks outdated that will scare people away from buying voice dream reader, which is awesome! I also just bought your Scanner app which I am super excited about! I didn’t realize you had this but I think it’s going to work wonderful since it is designed to work directly with voice dream reader! I have other nice scanning apps including OCR, however it’s always a pain to try to get it into Voice Dream raider so I’m glad that this app will work along with it seamlessly. I’m excited to give it to my kids so that they can use it till when they want to listen to their books out loud! :) Thank you for all you do!
An easy purchase
If you got this as part of a Voice Dream suite - congratulations. It was worth it. The cost of this app was essentially free, AND you got Voice Dream and Writer for free. This app’s main purpose is to provide access to two voices in the other two apps (they’re normally $5 a piece). If you bought it as a separate/unique purchase, you can still use this app as a standalone text reader. You copy and paste in text to have it read in American English. However, know that it’s not the sole purpose or intent of this app and you’ll probably be confused or disappointed with the app. Hope all that makes sense.
Awesome voices
Sharon is not for my ears, but James is excellent voice! I wish Apple will allow to use third party TTS voices everywhere in the system.
