Everybody knows that catching the start is essential in sailing. Finally there is a great Sailing Watch available for the iPhone and it works great with the Apple Watch. This app provides a timer, speed and course monitoring with unique features and unparalleled ease of use for sail racing. When you hear or see a race signal just press Gun! - You can adjust if it is a 5, 4 or 1 minute warning afterwards! And if it was just a loud noise from a flapping sail and not a race signal you can easily jump back to the previous timer. I’m glad it seems to be working just fine. First of all it’s free and it has Apple Watch support. Why do the others cost?
Needs a stop/end a race option
All and all a good timer for the starts but after that it gets very frustrating to end a race and check to course. Hopefully in a few more updates they’ll get it right. Updated after the iOS 11 update- the gps appears to not be working. The location arrow on my Apple Watch lights up but the SOG and bearing no longer work and the map feature of the course is empty.
Seems to work fine.
Was useful not just for the timer but also useful for figuring course size (often disputed). Suggest two improvements - have the map function slider buttons with a slider that encompasses wider options for fat fingers. Also suggest a STOP button for the timer.

Great update! I have hundreds of apps on my phone and I think this is the first time I wrote a review and the dev fixed it a few days later! Nice job. Sync works like you would expect, it advances the clock to the next even gun sound to zero seconds. Sadly, it's now autumn on the East Coast and the sailboats have been pulled out of the water for the winter! But I'll play around with the app during the winter (walking around work, etc) and get used to using it so in the spring, I can use it on the water. I'm especially eager to see how the GPS features work because 1 degree of lift or header makes all the difference in a close race.
