The app is only as good as the product
This app as well as all associated Signia apps, are reflective of the minimal quality of their hearing aids. This app represents the limitations of Signia and that really is the underlying problem. Usage is not enhanced with this app. The sound played into your ear is tinny and cheap sounding, this app cannot change that.
This app makes me consider trying a different hearing aid
It seems to take them a long time whenever there is an iOS upgrade.. I am still having new problems with the 13 upgrade. And using it with both an iPhone and iPad is problematic. You have to pick one or the other or deal with constantly fidgeting with it.
Settings don’t stay/connection constantly dropped
Every time I do something that uses the Bluetooth I have to go back in and repair the aids. Horribly inconvenient.
Issues
The app was working well but now the app constantly moves the sharpness up to the Max whenever I move around within the app. Also, all of a sudden now when my hearing aid person sends me updates there is no beeping in my hearing aid to let me know the update was successful. The first 3-4 weeks of using this app this would work fine and I would get a beeping to alert me of the successful update, now I get nothing and I am stuck guessing to see if the update was successful.
Needs work
The app is doing the basics. That’s it. Advanced features, like Spatial Configurator, are still very unstable. Crashes happen as well, on a regular basis. I am not sure how elderly people will react to that. I wish Signia’s sale persons best of luck - they are amazing people but the company needs to do a bit more to support them. Starting with QA - testing the app in the real world. The way it is today - it is not RTM quality, sorry.
App with Signia BT Pure 13
Problem is that you cannot have this app running concurrently on iphone and iPad. Also, no app for watch. You must disconnect bluetooth on iphone to use iPad and vice versa. This is awful for bluetooth is not a new medium. When you must dissconnect bluetooth on one device you must then switch off and on your hearing aids to reconnect. Bummer. Perhaps came out too soon. Resounds has had this ability for years.
OK App. Needs work
This is just OK, needs work. App was just updated and when it did I lost connection and was unable to us it untill another Password was set by the Au.D. Of course the Dr. that setup mine was off that day. Today I went to backup my Iphone and lost connection to the App again. (Its Saturday and now I'll half to waite till Monday to reset password). Second complaint is it needs battery monitoring in the App.
