Can't even compare this to the iPad version. I have already uninstalled it after just a few minutes

It only ever mentions people being born. And as a history teacher who actually knows his stuff I don't even know half the people mentioned.
No John Lennon Birthday
Apparently Camille Saint-Saens' Oct. 9 birthday is more significant a day in history than John Lennon's on the same day.
Okay app on iPhone
This is an okay app on the iPhone, but is so much better on the iPad. Besides a much richer graphical interface, on the iPad there will often be a link related to an event in history. For example, today (June 23) is when the Taft-Hartley Act became law in 1947. On the iPad, the words "Taft-Hartley Act" link to a short article within the app which explains it. The iPhone app lacks that. Overall, though, it's useful and worth a buck.
