Match2Say is the matching game for children that have difficulties producing some sounds. While they play they say the words and improve their articulation skills at the same time. Children will learn their sounds while playing! Match2Say was developed by a speech therapist and can be used by parents to help your child learn to pronounce their sounds quicker. We know that intensive practice and parent support is the key to speech therapy success. This app contains all consonants in the English language and several levels of difficulty. Features: 1. Match2Say
My students ask for this game over and over! Kids can practice at the word or phrase/sentence levels. When multiple players are playing, different sounds can be chosen, but they cannot be customized for a particular student, so sometimes students get words that do not contain their own target sound. When this happens, sometimes I have the other student say the word or sentence as well. Also, only one word position can be selected at a time for all of the sounds chosen for the game. The names indicating whose turn it is change before the second card has completely flipped, which has been confusing for some of my younger students. They want to see the star awarded on their name if they make a match, but they can't see it until their next turn. I would still recommend this app, though, because it is motivating and moves more quickly than when using regular Artic cards!
Great app
My preschool kids love to practice their speech words with match to say. It is quick and easy and I feel as if I always have something I can use for that "drill and practice" approach to articulation therapy. Sure beats using all those old decks of cards.
Matching Artic Game
I originally did not think I'd be overly impressed with this app. I must tell you, though, that my students who are on the autism spectrum love it.... and that is a most important endorsement!!! It is a simple matching game with three levels of play within which you can target specific phonemes in different positions within words. You can also target more than one sound or placement within the same game and can select one player or multiplayer. I like the straight forwardness of the app but more importantly the students enjoy it!
One of my favorites!
This is such a fun way to practice articulation skills! Its a matching game with the ability to select which phoneme(s) to target, the position of the phoneme in the word, and the level of play (word/phrase). 1-4 players and several different modes of play (easy-super hard). The graphics are great and the whole app is kid friendly and user friendly. After a student gets a match it places a star by their name to keep track (my kids love this!). At the end of the game the students can count their stars to see who wins! This is a great way to mix up your normal drill articulation therapy! I highly recommend this app! Smarty Ears quality!
Great Artic Practice
Great app for carryover of articulation or reading skills. Select specific letters and have kids match words or pictures within a memory game.
Elementary SLP
I have been using this app with my younger articulation students. So far it has kept them engaged and practicing their sounds. I haven't tried it with older students yet, I'm not sure that it would be able to keep their interest.
Waste of money
Biggest waste of money ever. It is just a matching game!!!!
