Crop Feature Doesn’t Work
I purchaes this app because it looked more functional than Preview. The reviews at the time of purchase were decent. However, this morning I tried to use it to crop several documents that I had scanned into my computer and every time I tried to crop, the program locked up and I had to force quit. I looked at the reviews and found a new one calling out the same problem. What a waste of my money…I would have felt more satisfied if I had watched my money get flushed down the toilet!
Buyer beware
This program is a ripoff. It has the same interface as iSkysoft PDF Editor Pro. The only difference that I can see is that iSkysoft works and this program doesn’t. The crop function ALWAYS causes the program to stop functioning and requires a force quit. I don’t know why Apple would sell this software on their website. I took it’s presence here as a stamp of approval. My bad. Don’t let it be your bad also.
Crashes all the time, still garbage !
Always crashes for my statement pdf document, when I open it to edit, the application quit immediately, waste my time and money. While this program does have some unique features - nothing that I would consider so useful that it out weighs the current “bugs” of the program - it is an okay program that is expensive in relation to its peers given its faults.
Not for large complex documents
Program works as advertised, features are good for the average user, but comes to a crawl on large files with many vectors. I use pdf editors to do construction drawing markups and it fails for that application. If your main uses are simple documents or slight editing it is a good alternative to the expensive Acrobat Pro 11.
Terrible PDF editor. Espeically for the price
I needed to add text to a pdf file of some sheet music that I had. The text editor didn’t wrap text correctly. It just put a fixed amount of characters on a line and broke the word in the middle or after the first character. And I once I entered the text, I never could seem to re-edit it to put correct word divisions in my lines. These are BASIC features of any text editor… much less a PDF editor that costs $59.00…. A COMPLETE WASTE of my money.
I can’t recommend this mess
I spent hours working on creating a form as part of my job. Some changes were saved but most were not. When I checked it in several PDF apps, some of the text boxes were black some had weird characters in them. When I opened the pdf form again in PDF Editor Pro the text boxes have changed position. This app is a mess! I used the Adobe Acrobat in the past and had no problems in any pdf reader. Making a form is not rocket science. So I contacted customer support and this is the response: "Please kindly try other PDF files and see whether the same case persists. If the case still occurs, could you please send us the original pdf file for further inspection at our end? We would test it further and get back to you soon. Thanks for your cooperation in advance.” I am not going to mess around for hours trouble shooting their problems. If an app does not work, I cannot run up hours in my job trying to find the problem. And by the way, this was a simple form, no calculations or special features. Just a couple text boxes.
Works for me
The product is a decent value for the price. It’s not as full featured as some, but it fills my needs without having to have a co-signer to pay for it. The edition sold in the App Store will not remove the watermark on a .pdf created using the trial version. Tech support is good, but the process of replying to them is broken. I had to go back to the web form each time. They ask for a review/rating but the web page for that cannot be submitted - I’m guessing because you can’t put in the product name. I’d have rated higher if not for the support issues.
